Oct 2, 1936 – Jan 2, 2016Siegel was a pioneer in the daytime talk show format in the 1970s and 1980s. Celebrities, politicians, newsmakers and a potpourri of off-beat guests brought forth the colorful mix that was New York. Siegel burst onto the scene in 1975 landing the host’s role on “AM New York” at WABC (ABC’s flagship station) after hosting a Nashville talk show. Siegel’s off-the-wall antics at WABC such as on-camera therapy sessions made him the talk of the town. He interviewed everyone who defined the era, from Truman Capote to Frank Zappa, from Gloria Steinem to Renee Richards. His current series “Stanley on the Go” has aired on RLTV since 2010. Siegel is survived by his nephews Richard Propper, Michael Propper, niece Susan Siegel and cherished adopted daughter Lourdes Trujillo. Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park on Thursday, January 7th at 10:00am.
