Stanley Kleiman passed over peacefully at the age of 85 on May 4th, 2020 in Northridge, CA following an extended period of time without live sports. Doctors will say it was complications with pneumonia.
Stan was born on December 13th 1934 in Brooklyn, NY where he met his first love; the Brooklyn Dodgers. He and his family relocated to Southern California in 1946. Stan’s dreams came true in 1957 when he married the love of his life, Liela; the same year that the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles.
He is survived by his wife Liela, their children Bonnie (Les), Bill (Babs) and Scott (Pati). He is also survived by his seven granddaughters, Heather, Hilary, Marisa, Cassie, Chloe, Courtney and Shelby.
Stan spent his career as a Teamster for the meat industry, where he made many friendships before retiring in 1989. Other than his family, his greatest passion in life was sports. A die-hard fan of the Rams, Lakers, UCLA, but above all else, The Dodgers.
He is predeceased by his parents, Meyer and Eva, his brother Martin and his beloved dogs, Pepper, Katie and Lenny.
Stan will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park.
