It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Suzanne Moskowitz. Sharon was a strong, beautiful, smart, loving, nurturing and kind person who will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.
Sharon grew up in Los Angeles. She attended Hancock Elementary School, John Burroughs Jr. High School, Fairfax High School as well as UCLA and UC Berkeley. It was in the 4 th grade where she met Emil Moskowitz, her future husband. They were the loves of each other’s lives and had a 40-year fun filled, loving relationship. They traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe together. They especially loved going to Monterey, California every year on her birthday. Their special bond was apparent to anyone that crossed their paths.
Sharon had a daughter Elizabeth, of whom she was extremely proud and loved very much. Elizabeth is an accomplished educator in the field of Special Education. Elizabeth will always remember their Saturday night dinners and mother daughter trips to the Globe Theatre in San Diego.
Sharon had a great love of literature, especially the works of Shakespeare. She would attend performances whenever possible, usually with Elizabeth and Emil by her side. Sharon also loved art, classical music, musical theatre and the ballet.
Sharon had a lifelong passion for animals, especially horses. She owned a horse, Shiloh, and rode her at every available opportunity. She developed a circle of loving devoted equestrian friends, who will miss her dearly.
Sharon helped Emil create Cal Inspection Bureau, a business they would own and operate for 35 years. They recently retired from the company and had hoped to further enjoy the fruits of their long partnership when Sharon fell ill. Sharon and Emil also helped in creating a new business called Legacy National Audit Bureau, which is in Camden, South Carolina. Camden was becoming a bit of a second home to Emil and Sharon; she will be missed by all her new friends there as well.
Sharon was a very charitable person with an incredible love of life. The world is certainly a lesser place without her.
She is survived by her husband Emil, her daughter Elizabeth, and her loving brother Michael Frisch. (Aeleen Frisch).
