Rochelle Joy Pollock passed away at 90 years of age in Woodland Hills, California on January 3, 2024. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana on December 2, 1933. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Lafayette in 1951 and received her Bachelor of Science in Music from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1955 in piano, and also in Radio, TV & Speech. After college, she moved to Los Angeles for several years, then to Denver, Colorado for 2 years, and to Los Angeles for the remainder of her life. She worked as a legal secretary in entertainment law, and retired as personal secretary to Michael Sherman, partner at Jeffer, Mangels, Butler, & Marmaro, LLP from 1989–2006; she previously worked for Barry Haldeman at Rosenfeld, Meyer, and Sussman and later Gary, Mason, and Sloan. She also worked for Warner Brothers studio as personal assistant to Stephanie Powers.

Her hobbies were piano composition, pedagogy, and performance; poetry, literature,  creative writing; and Eastern philosophies. She was an active volunteer leader, mentor, and officer in Overeaters Anonymous in San Fernando Valley intergroup meetings.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Minnie Roger, brother Edwin, and ex-husband Dwight Pollock. She is survived by sons Bradley (Nancy) in Sacramento and Martin (Jill Gross) in Los Angeles, and grandsons Harry (Denver) and Richard (Sacramento).

Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
