Melvin Penner

Melvin Penner of Thousand Oaks, California passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks. He was born on November 23, 1932 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Samuel and Florence Penner. Melvin was a Certified Public Accountant, spending his entire career with Ernst & Young (previously Arthur Young & Co.) and retired in 1991. Melvin and his wife, Iris, were well respected as Americana antiques collectors and dealers, especially when they lived in Stamford, Connecticut. They also lived in Great Neck, New York and in Los Angeles, La Mirada and Simi Valley, California. He is survived by his sister, Judith Mulkerin and her husband, Edward, his sons David and his wife, Elizabeth, Forrest and his wife Maria, and preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Iris, their daughter Lori, and his parents. Melvin was the loving grandfather to Isis Viramontes, Michele Conard, Kari Nanyaro and Adam Penner, their respective spouses David, Jason, Edward and Robyn, and his great grandchildren Aidan, Leo, Eva, Isaiah, Logan, Paisley, Raeleigh and Owen. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W. Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90045. Reception to follow.
