Leslie Davidson was born in Los Angeles in 1916. He saw the La Brea Tar Pits change from a primitive landscape into the beautiful Page Museum and the L A County Museum of Art complex. As a teenager he’d fish off the Santa Monica Pier and catch pristine barracuda, mackarel and bonita. Les graduated from USC in 1936. After the attack on Pearl Harbor Les Joined the Unites States Army Air Force. With 52 bombing missions, two tours of duty in a B-25, he recieved the Flying Cross and Distinguish Air Medals, 1st Lieutenant, Leslie Davidson came home to his wife and first of two sons. Les and Evelyn’s marriage spanned 60 years when she passed away at 79,. Les was a good provider for his family . He was a good husband to Evelyn and a good father to his his sons, Chuck and Bob. At 101, with six grandkids: Dori, Jeni, Carli, Andi, Danielle, Eric (deceased) and Andrew and eight great grandchildren; Jake, Brett, Billy, Katie, Maeve, Ben, and Ayala, Uncle to Karen, and Steve (deceased) he leaves us. How fortunate it was for us to have him.
