Joyce Adele Rose

Joyce Rose, 96, of Beverly Hills, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023. She was an only child, born to Mildred and Edwin Berk in Birmingham, AL. Joyce moved to San Francisco shortly thereafter, where she spent her childhood and early adult years. Joyce went on to study fashion design at USC, and then married her beloved husband Robert Rose in 1950. She raised 3 children, volunteered her time with various charities, and worked at the nursery school at University Synagogue in Brentwood. She was an avid tennis player, and later took up golf with Bob when they moved from Brentwood to Palm Desert in 1996. Shortly after Bob passed away in 2005, she moved to Beverly Hills where she spent the rest of her days living close to her family. She was most proud of being a beloved mother, wife, daughter, and nana. Joyce cherished spending time with family, and those were the most beautiful and loving moments of her life. Joyce is survived by her two sons and a daughter, David (Mary Anne), and their children, Alex and Jennifer, Steve (Mary), and their children, Peter and Marnie, Susan (Chuck), and their children, Wendy and Michael.
