Hertha Sandra Leshner

Sherman Oaks – Hertha Sandra (“Sandy”) Leshner, a longtime resident of Los
Angeles, died Saturday the 18th of January at Belmont Village Encino. She was
married to Donald Leshner who passed away in 1993.
Born in 1926 in Vienna, Austria, Sandy immigrated to the United States when she
was a young child.
Sandy worked in the entertainment business at several studios including Columbia
Pictures, Warner Bros and Screen Gems. In a career shift, she and her husband,
Donald, created Leshner Associates through which they sold eyelashes to retailers
and all of the motion picture studios.
Sandy was an avid reader, loved opera, golf, animals and going out to dinner with
friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a twinkle in her eye and an incredible
smile that could light up a room.
She is survived by her cousins Leigh Leshner, who was her caretaker for the past
seven + years, Carol Leshner and Michelle Leshner and Sandy’s nephew, Dan Stein,
his wife Pamela and their children.
