It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Herb, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Herb passed away peacefully at the age of 91 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Herb was an avid golfer and a proud member of the Brentwood Country Club, where he spent countless hours on the green with his friends. He had a passion for sports and loved anything affiliated with UCLA, especially women’s golf and basketball.

In addition to his love for sports, Herb had a zest for life and loved to travel the world with his wife Connie. He had a particular fondness for Africa, where he would often spend weeks exploring the diverse cultures and landscapes of the continent.

Herb was also an accomplished bridge player, always ready for a challenging game with friends and family. He was known for his strategic thinking and his ability to bring people together through the game.

Herb was a great stepfather to Jim and Irene and an amazing grandfather to his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them, sharing stories of his travels, and imparting his wisdom and life experiences.

Herb was a kind and compassionate man who was dedicated to giving back to his community. He was heavily involved with the Jewish Family Service charity, chaverim,  and other organizations that focused on helping those in need.

Herb will be deeply missed by his wife Connie, his stepchildren Jim and Irene, his grandchildren, his niece and nephew, and all those who knew him. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched, the memories he created, and the love he shared with those around him.

Rest in peace, Herb.
