Henry Ellis Kaperl

December 11, 1935 – October 10, 2018 – It is with great sadness that our dearest husband, father and grandfather, Henry Kaperl, passed
away unexpectedly on October 10, 2018. He lived his life for family, friends and felines. He was born in Vienna, Austria and came to America in 1940. Henry graduated from Beverly Hills High School and UCLA earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering. He had a long and successful
career in aerospace, working for TRW where he received the Chairman’s Award for Innovation for the development of the Milstar Advanced Processor Spaceborne Computer for the Milstar Satellite Communications Program. He was a formidable poker player, enthusiastic golfer and
world traveler. He was blessed with a loving relationship with his wife Pearl, who adored him for the 58 years of their marriage. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Steven Lazarus, grandsons Jordan, Adam and Michael Lazarus, son Bradley Kaperl and sister
Louise Jastrow. He will be missed by his much-loved cats Miguel and Lily. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 14 at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles.
