Helene Wernick

Helene was a loving wife and mother, devoted to her husband Marvin; a marriage that was a true love story, lasting 68 happy years. Together, they had three children, Trina, Arin and David, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Nothing was more important to her than her family.

One of ten siblings, Helene outlived them all; which she attributed to the ability to laugh often and keep a positive attitude. Her birthday was on the Fourth of July and she was a real “firecracker.”

Marvin would bring Helene gifts of orchids and they filled her yard, constantly blooming as a reminder that his love and spirit were still present long after he passed in 2017.

Helene loved doing volunteer work. She was Co-President of Ariel Hadassah for almost 15 years; a program dedicated to healing the mind and bodies of those in need.

As the loving matriarch of the family and the glue that kept us together and strong, Helene will be deeply missed.
