Elliot was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended Earl Warren High School, Downey, California, where he grew up. He then received as B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He attended medical school at the Free University of Brussels School Medicine, where he met his wife, and transferred to the University of Southern California School of Medicine for his final two years. He was Board certified in both Pediatrics and Allergy and Immunology. He practiced in the Los Angeles area for 40 years, first as a pediatrician and then as an allergist.
He retired five years ago and took on various hobbies include glass blowing and become more active in his community at Temple Beth-El in San Pedro. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. In retirement he became a member of City of Hope’s Angels of Hope and dedicated his time to raising money for cancer research.
He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years Nourit Korzennik, his son Jaron Kenneth Brunner (Hope); his grandchild Gavin Brunner; his brother-in-law Sylvain Korzennik (Merle).
Donations can be made in his honor to: City of Hope and the Union of Reformed Judaism.
Funeral will be held at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90045, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
