Effie Weinberg

Born in Chicago, the daughter of Alice Silber and Max Stein, Effie has been a resident of California most of her life. She attended Los Angeles High and Stanford University. Her longtime husband, Bernard, was active at Hillcrest Country Club, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and other local organizations. Effie, too, was a longtime volunteer at Ceders-Sinai Medical Center. The Weinberg’s were the parents of Jane Gordon and Thomas Alan Weinberg. They had two grandchildren, Jennifer Nagel and Gregory Gordon. Jennifer and Corey Nagel currently live in Issaquah Washington with their two children and Effie’s great grandchildren, Madelyn and Chase. Gregory lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Thomas lives in West Los Angeles with his husband, Michael Saito. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 7th at 11:00 am at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bernard Weinberg Fund at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
