Edith Phillips

Edith Phillips passed away on March 24, 2024 in Palm Desert, CA, at the age of 96. She was born on October 26, 1927 in New York, the second of three children.

The family lived in many places before settling in Los Angeles when she was a teenager. Edie, as she was called, graduated from Venice High School.

She was a smart and beautiful woman. She was married and had two daughters and a son before her husband died. A few years later, she remarried for a short time, and the family lived in Maryland. When that marriage ended, she and her children returned to Los Angeles, and lived near her parents.

Edie worked in many different jobs, including as a shoe model and a successful real estate agent.

She moved to Palm Desert over 30 years ago. She was always on the go, playing mah jong, attending lectures, participating in events at the senior center, and chasing great deals at the stores.

For the past two years, Edie lived in an assisted living facility.

Edie was predeceased by her parents, sister, and brother. She leaves behind three children, eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, three great-nieces. and three great nephews.

Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park, Sunday March 31st, 2024 at 2:00PM in the Small Chapel.
