Donald Sheldon Goldman

Passed away peacefully on October 7, 2016. He was born on July 26, 1934, in Newark, New Jersey to Martin and Etta Goldman. A graduate of Cornell University’s labor relations program, he went on to a successful career in the human resources field and was ahead of his time as an early proponent of equal opportunity in the work place for companies such as TRW, Northern Telecom and Harris Communications. Upon retirement he volunteered with SCORE, an organization that provided management advice and services to small businesses. In addition to New Jersey, he lived in Los Angeles, Dallas, the Bay Area, and Massachusetts.
He was the loving husband of his wife of 59 years, Celia Kandel Goldman, of Los Angeles, and the loving father to his son Alan (Lynda) of Pacific Palisades, his son Lawrence (Maria) of Los Angeles, and his daughter Michelle (predeceased). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Joe, Robby, Alissa, Jacquelyn, Skylar, and Liam, along with many other relatives and friends. His sister, Arlene Matthews predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10 at 2:00pm in the Hillside Memorial Park & Mortuary Chapel.
