Claire Cecil Greenberg

Claire Cecil Greenberg, at 94 years old, of Ventura, California, passed away gently and peacefully in her sleep on January 21, 2024, in Ventura, California.

Claire was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Gussie and Ruben Labowitz on December 25, 1929.  She went to high school in New York and subsequently attended class at Ventura College.

Claire was an avid reader, lover of fine art and fashion, and a passionate world traveler.  Whether at home in Southern California or abroad, Claire thoroughly enjoyed visiting museums and attending the ballet and symphony.  She also loved spending time with dogs, particularly Pepe and Thelma.

She was involved in numerous charitable organizations throughout her life including Hadassah and The National Council of Jewish Women.

Claire Greenberg is survived by her son, Harvey M. Greenberg, M.D. of Marina del Rey, and her son Ralph J. Greenberg, of Emeryville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis H. Greenberg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hadassah or the National Council of Jewish Women.

Claire Greenberg lived a truly inspiring life, setting a beautiful example for her two sons and all who knew her.  Family and friends meant the world to Claire.  She will be greatly missed by all
