Arnold Rubinoff passed away at 82 years old on January 15 at his home with his wife by his side.
Born in Brooklyn in 1935, the eldest son of Florence and David Rubinoff, he moved to Beverly Hills with his family in 1944. A graduate of Beverly Hills High School, Arnold served in the Army in Korea. Upon his return, he graduated from Cal State LA. His lifelong passion for photography became his 36-year career as “Arnie the much-loved photo teacher” at University High in West LA. During his retirement he continued to enjoy photography as he and his wife, Jodie, traveled in their motorhome to many beautiful destinations. He was loved and adored by his family, friends, and students who were fortunate enough to know his kindness, inspiration and wit.
Arnold is survived by his wife Jodie; his two children, Nicole (husband Tony) Curtis, and Ron (wife Missy) Rubinoff; and three grandchildren, McKenna, Emily, and Josh; sister Suzanne Harte and brother Rick Rubinoff. He was preceded in death by his late wife Dana, mother of their children.
A memorial service will be held at Hillside Memorial Park, Los Angeles, Sunday, February 11, at 1:00 pm.
