Alec Maltz

It is with great sorrow that we announce that, on June 5, 2023, Alec Maltz, 38, passed away as a result of complications related to Type 1 Diabetes.

Alec was born on July 19, 1984 in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in 2003. Alec recently completed a computer coding program and was looking forward to pursuing a career in coding. He had a love of music, art, food and technology. While he was taken far too soon, he will be cherished and loved for eternity.

Alec is predeceased by his beloved cat, Wino. He is survived by his father Lawrence Maltz, mother Carol Maltz, step-mother Tina Maltz, sister Diana Maltz Mills, brother-in-law Mason Mills, and nephew Beckham Mills.

In lieu of flowers, Alec’s family requests that donations be made to Beyond Type 1, an organization that assists people diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
