Alan Mann Profile Photo

Alan Mann, 93, beloved husband, father, and father-in-law, passed away on 1/12/2016. Born in New York to Russian immigrants, he came to L.A. at an early age. While studying theater, he met the love of his life, Helen. Married for 62 years (her death), they cherished their life in theater and radio. As actor, writer, and director, Alan (with partners Dave Ormont and Joe Yocum) co-created and starred in a popular local radio comedy/news show, “Three Men on a Mike.” He then became a successful businessman and a pioneer in providing access to low-cost generic drugs. Later, he found a successful career in direct marketing. After a stroke left Helen disabled, he devoted himself to filling her life with love and laughter. His last years were enriched by compassionate daily care from his loving son, Bart. He is survived by Bart of Los Angeles, and son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Julie of Albuquerque. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to Faroukh Kerendi MD for his devoted medical care. If you knew Alan, the family invites you to leave your thoughts on this web site (click on “Memories.”)
